SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
The Social Sister Project is growing, and we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team.
We’re a Northern Rivers-based creative marketing agency working with a mix of lifestyle and purpose-led brands. Our work is genuine and grounded in strategic thinking.
We’re looking for someone who understands that great social media is more than posting something pretty. You’ll be able to spot a strong idea, write copy that sounds human and manage multiple brands without losing what makes each one unique.
A big part of this role is connecting the dots across our clients’ wider content marketing systems. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure social media aligns with paid advertising, email marketing, content creation and overarching campaign strategy. Every channel should feel connected and work towards the same goal.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll manage the day-to-day social media presence of a portfolio of TSSP clients, working closely with our founder, account manager, content creators and designers.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning monthly social media content
* Writing engaging, brand-aligned captions
* Scheduling and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms
* Managing community engagement and responding to comments and messages
* Developing content ideas, hooks and campaign concepts
* Attending occasional content shoots
* Keeping client accounts organised, consistent and moving forward
* Reviewing performance and using insights to improve future content
* Staying across platform changes, trends and emerging formats
ABOUT YOU
You’re creative, organised and genuinely interested in what makes people stop scrolling.
You can move between different brand voices with ease, manage competing deadlines and take ownership of your work. You’re confident bringing ideas to the table, but you’re equally comfortable receiving feedback and working collaboratively.
You’re also reliable. Agency life moves quickly, so you must be able to manage your time, communicate early if something needs attention and meet agreed deadlines without continual follow-up.
You’ll ideally have:
* Previous experience managing social media accounts for brands or clients
* Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
* A good understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
* Experience using scheduling and content-management platforms
* A strong visual eye and understanding of what makes content feel considered
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Confidence communicating with clients
* The ability to work independently while remaining part of a close team
* Canva skills & CapCut or video editing knowledge
Most importantly, you care about doing great work. You’re naturally curious, eager to learn and willing to take initiative.
